Not only was this year filled with so much information but we found Tallahasee a pleasant and friendly place to stay. Thanks to everyone for a great seminar.

Thanks to the organizers for an educational meeting, great hotel and very good snacks!...I still wish there was more exchange between groups...wish the groups could be introduced by group, so I know who belongs to what group and some way for us to meet people from other groups...having our group on our name plate is a great way to start...I would like their to be a list of the attending groups and their website addresses, so I could see their graphic presence (I do the graphics for my groups, being a graphic designer), their web presence and how they handle outreach in their communities....the scientists need to remember to summarize their information for the the non-scientists in the room...we are VOLUNTEERS, not marine biologists!! Thank you turtle friends for your support with our sweatshirt sales at the Tampa Permit Holder's Meeting. For the first time ever, I had 6 of my own Volunteers attending. The program was very interesting and well planned out. Our Venue was perfect and I hope FFWCC can continue to find us large enough places to meet and sleep, so we don't have to drive all over the place. I always LOVE seeing so many of my old turtle friends from around the state. Many who have been so helpful to me in my turtle endeavors for so many years. Turtle people are the best~!!!! The biggest hearts and the best minds~!!!!! Love, Debbie Sobel, Sea Turtle Conservation League of Singer Island PS Hope to see many of you in Brisbane, Australia for the International Sea Turtle Symposium.

I am a CWC member that would like to thank everyone involved for an informative, fun weekend. Each year I am more and more amazed at the work that is being done to protect Florida beaches and wildlife. Keep up the great work! It was nice to see everyone and reflect on what is important.

Thanks for all your efforts in putting together another great FMTPHM meeting, Jan. 2009. We enjoyed the fun social evening on Friday. The meeting on Saturday was well run and informative. Next year, perhaps you could include a table in our meeting area that would have info on where to send e-mails to further our causes in different areas. (for example: e-mails to plead the case for protecting our fresh water turtles, better enforcement of laws on our beaches, etc.) Another suggestion for you to consider, is to have blank forms for auction items available on the meetings website so those of us that have items to donate for the silent auction can print them out, fill them out, and attach to our auction items before we drop them off Friday night. I'm sure Megan spent a lot of hours Friday night and Sat. morning filling them out for the auction. Perhaps we could save her some time. Even having blank forms there at the donation collection table might help her. Thanks again, Dick and Jane Gates, members of CWC, Manasota Key area.

Another great meeting, and lots of information. As to the presentation shared by Peter Meylan about the plight of our soft shell turtles, we hope they come under some protection sooner than later. Thank you ALL for your work and for sharing it with us. We also enjoyed the tour with the Florida Aquarium, and the invitation to the Clearwater Aq. as well.

I am a member of CWC in Venice FL ... the meeting was EXCELLENT ... one of the best educational opportunities I have experienced in a long time ... while some of the science was above the comprehension of some in the audience ... I have always worked in the medical community so it was refreshing to be exposed to actual scientific information. All the presenters did an excellent job - and the people keeping them on time did a great job ...the "gong show" was a very good idea. I look forward to attending for many years to come ... the location was perfect and the set-up with the additional screens was wonderful ... keep up the good work! Thanks to everyone!

The meeting was great. Good location, great presentations and good company. The website and posting of some of the presentations is what we have been asking for. Being able to review a presentation a week after the meeting is handy. And now those permit holders and volunteers unable to attend will get a taste of the information presented at the meeting. I know how hard everyone worked on this meeting and it shows on the website and how well the meeting went. Thanks

Wonderful event -- well staffed and organized -- good selection of speakers -- perfect "gong-girl" timekeeper that kept things flowing at a perfect pace ! May I recommend that you consider a raised platform of some kind for the speakers so that the sitting audience could see who is talking and perhaps avoid the weekends on either side of President's Week, as many northerners visit their families here in Florida during the northern winter school break at that time. Thank you for all you do.

This was my first meeting and I found it very organized and informative. I enjoyed meeting everyone. The hotel was wonderful and so was the staff. I would recommend having the photo contest and the silent auction again. Hope to see you next year! Jill
